Motherhood can be stressful, especially when juggling all the responsibilities. But remember that caring for you is not optional. It is crucial to your overall health and well-being. In this blog post, I want to share a simple yet effective calming exercise that has helped me stay centered and focused, even on the most chaotic days.
Did you know that our nervous system is meant to protect and keep us safe? However, it wasn't built to be in a protective state 24/7! Daily expectations from our careers, kids, and household demands constantly test us. When our nervous system is constantly triggered, it can negatively affect our health. Chronic stress can lead to a range of health problems, including anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, and a weakened immune system.
But don't worry, mama! A simple visualization exercise can help you reset and rebalance your nervous system. In the video below, I'll guide you through this exercise, which you can do anywhere you can find a few minutes to focus on yourself.
Remember, taking care of yourself is not selfish - it's essential! By prioritizing your well-being, you'll have more energy, patience, and love to give to your family. So, go ahead and give this exercise a try. Your body (and mind) will thank you! 💕
Happy visualizing, mamas!
Always consult your doctor or therapist before adding a new daily practice to ensure it is appropriate for you.
