How Subconscious Blocks Hold You Back and How to Overcome Them

How Subconscious Blocks Hold You Back and How to Overcome Them

On this week's Real Life Momz podcast, Elvira Cabreja, a trauma-informed coach, and I discussed how subconscious blocks impede us.

Exploring our emotions and understanding the roots of our reactions is a crucial part of personal growth. Often, we find ourselves hesitant to name our emotions; permitting ourselves to honor our emotions is a pivotal step in self-awareness.

Allowing ourselves to explore our feelings opens the door to understanding the deeper layers of our emotions. It's about challenging ourselves with questions like "Why am I feeling this way?" and "What happened to me that led to this emotion?" These queries can unveil subconscious thoughts and provide insights into our mental and emotional landscapes. We tap into our inner wisdom and realize we hold the answers. Trusting these insights is fundamental, yet often challenging, as many of us have been conditioned to distrust our own judgments and beliefs.

Understanding trauma is also a significant part of this introspective process. Trauma, whether big or small, shapes our decisions, actions, and perceptions. Recognizing these experiences and their impact on our lives is a crucial aspect of self-discovery. By acknowledging both big "T" traumas, such as accidents or abuse, and little "t" traumas, such as emotional wounds from childhood, we begin to grasp the complexity of our emotional makeup.

Addressing our blocks and limitations, particularly in finances, is equally important regarding personal growth. Our money mindset often stems from our upbringing and experiences. For many, childhood experiences of scarcity or lack can manifest as subconscious blocks, hindering financial growth and abundance in adulthood.

Recognizing these patterns and understanding their origins is the first step toward breaking free from limiting beliefs. It's a continuous self-reflection and healing journey, acknowledging that our past experiences deeply influence our present perceptions and actions. Ultimately, by fostering a sense of curiosity, openness, and self-compassion, we empower ourselves to unravel the intricacies of our emotions, beliefs, and reactions. With this understanding, we can embark on a journey of healing, growth, and transformation, guided by our inner wisdom and nurtured by the compassion we offer ourselves and those around us.
